The City Mini is a full-size stroller that doesn't stand out in any way other than the fact the fact that it's light and compact when folded. It also excels in all our categories, although it does not score as well as other strollers due to the poorly-placed peek-a-boo window and storage that's somewhat blocked.
It is, however, an excellent stroller and one of our top picks for families who need something that will get them through everyday use and even occasional adventures. It has a pretty wide footrest and is cushioned, so little ones will be comfortable. The seat reclines to a pretty flat position but we found that it was difficult to get it into place and required two hands. The adjustable calf supports for calf are a nice feature that allows your child's feet to kick up when they are tired.
The City Mini, like many other strollers we have listed features a huge canopy that is UV50. Parents love it. The sun shade is constructed elegantly and can be pulled all the way down. This is great as it will protect your child from sun, without having to constantly tuck the shade back in place.
The City Mini can be easily converted into a double-stroller by attaching an add on kit. This gives you the option of using any Baby Jogger car seat and creating a travel system right from the start. The only drawback is the fact that adding a second seat to the stroller alters its appearance and feel. Some parents may be unable to handle this once they are used to it.
Another alternative to the City Mini is the City Mini GT Double Stroller. This model is slightly more expensive than the single City Mini but it does come with some extra features, like "forever air" rubber suspension and tyres that make it suitable for off-road adventures.
